Electricity is so old school

I'm going to sound weird right now, cause I'm really tired. I was sitting in church when the lights flickered. Not sure anyone else but me and Cody really saw it, but it hit me, when are they going to come up with an electricity alternative. I know that sounds absurd, but think about it. Electricity is unpredictable sometimes, it's dangerous when not handled correctly, it's production creates a whole bunch of pollutants, imagine what could happen if they found an alternative for electricity. I would very tentatively guess that if they did find anything, or at least a feasible possibility will be discovered between 2150 and 2200. lol an uneducated guess there. But what will it be? For some reason, hydrogen power doesn't seem to strike me as something that will catch on. And besides, it's just another way to produce electricity. I may be wrong, but at least it's a clean source. Ion energy? Anti-matter power? Something that hasn't been discovered yet? Something to think about.
